Chili Cook-Off Contestants

This event will be held in the front parking lot of The Fellowship at Western Oaks.

CONTEST RULES

$25.00 Registration fee includes:  Event & contest entry, 5 tickets for yourself to vote, Official Ron’s Way Chili Cook-Off Apron, Free Soda, Chips and Dessert.

  1. Contestants must pre-register, no walk-ups will be accepted.

  2. Contestants must sign-in at the registration table upon arrival between 3:00 pm and 3:45 pm.

  3. Chili must be prepared in advance and brought in a crockpot or other heating device. We will be checking the temperature periodically during the event.

  4. Chili must be warm and ready to serve upon arrival.

  5. Contestants must prepare between 5-10 quarts of chili.

  6. Please provide a list of all ingredients with your registration (for office use only).

  7. Please provide specifics of your chili upon registration (beans, no beans, vegetarian, heat level)

  8. No specialty condiments/toppings are allowed for judging.

  9. Each contestant will provide someone to serve their chili (either the cook or a designated person) 

  10. NO handouts or recipe cards are allowed. However, signage is allowed.

  11. Contestants are responsible for the clean-up of their station

  12. Ron’s Way will provide: all paper products, serving utensils, electrical access, canopy tent, table and crackers for tasting.

JUDGING

  • Judging will be done by the event attendees.

  • Each Contestant’s booth will be provided with a voting Box.

  • Votes will be made with tickets.

  • Voting will end at 6:00 pm or if there is no chili left to sample.

PRIZES

1st place winner will recieve $100 and the Golden Ladle

2nd place winner will recieve $75

3rd place winner will recieve $50
